Morocco’s Energy Policy Includes Cooperation With Other Nations


Morocco has ambitious renewable energy goals.  It is broad and includes collaboration with other countries. 

By 2030, Morocco aims to produce 52% of its electricity from clean sources. By 2080, the goal is to reach 80%.   Morocco and Israel are cooperating in developing new technologies to help each other.  Morocco has also reached out to Belgium to produce and store thermal energy.  Additionally, Morocco has signed an agreement with the EU to help further renewable energy goals.  These agreements and others like them will enable the implementation of renewable energy projects around the world.
