The Town of Vestal, NY released information on a June 18th Vestal Solar Law hearing that was held at the town hall, where residents were invited to voice their opinion.
According to officials from the Town of Vestal, the new Solar Law would allow as much commercial solar energy production as possible, while protecting residents, allowing it in every area of Vestal, but in appropriate ways in appropriate places.
Residential areas would remain residential, and solar energy production for personal use would continue as it is now. Commercial solar energy production will be allowed in areas that are zoned as Commercial Development, Industrial, or Industrial Development.
