Gordon has significant experience in all phases of renewable energy project development, including land acquisition and permitting issues and negotiation of power purchase agreements, interconnection and transmission service agreements and EPC contracts.   In addition, he has represented energy clients and others on numerous financings, including project financings, tax equity financings, municipal bond issuances, corporate debt issuances, equity public offerings and private placements, leveraged leases and securitizations.  Gordon has also structured, negotiated and closed energy investments, joint ventures, acquisitions and divestitures.

Earlier in his career, Gordon was a corporate partner in New York at a top-tier international law firm specializing in project finance and leveraged leasing transactions.   At the law firm, he represented major airlines, manufacturers, financial institutions and industrial companies in lease and project financings for aircraft, railcars, vessels, petro-chemical facilities, steel-manufacturing plants, high voltage electric transmission assets, gas-fired turbines, power facilities, and other assets.   After leaving the law firm, Gordon was an executive at a boutique investment bank involved in arranging lease transactions for transportation equipment and public infrastructure, a venture capital firm focusing on renewable energy investment and a private equity firm focusing on North American energy investment.    As an executive, he led the structuring, negotiation and due diligence efforts for investments in, and financings of, solar, wind, biomass and ethanol companies and projects.
