Experience
Matthew has worked as in-house counsel for a lobbying and strategic consulting firm in New York, where he focused on government relations, environmental advocacy and legislative drafting.
He also worked on federal, state, and local initiatives with the government relations practice of a major law firm, where he successfully achieved legislative, procurement, and regulatory goals for environmental and energy clients.
In Washington, D.C., he worked with a public policy and public relations firm, served as a Legal Fellow at the Democratic National Committee and to former Senator Torricelli at the Senate Judiciary Committee. He was also a congressional staff person for Congressman Bill Pascrell, and for Vic Fazio (then Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus) and worked on several Congressional and local campaigns.
Matthew holds a J.D. degree from Washington College of Law at American University, where he served as the Senior Editor for the International Law Review, and a B.A. degree from Haverford College.
