Ashu Arora, Of Counsel: Ashu was born and raised in New Delhi, India. Before joining CLP, she was a freelance columnist focused on climate change and environmental issues for leading newspapers throughout India.
Throughout her career, Ashu has worked closely on projects related to climate change, global warming, hazardous waste dumping, and renewable energy.
Her research topics have included: cross-border water resource concerns, how climate change will impact India’s water management treaties, whether or not nuclear energy is an effective medium for reducing global warming, and how micro finance and micro Insurance affects climate change.
Ashu holds an LL.M. degree in environmental law from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she was a Merit Scholarship Recipient and founding member of the Environmental Law Society Ambassador Group. She also holds an LL.B. degree from the Faculty of Law at Delhi University.
