Experience
Brian has over 30 years experience as an environmental attorney for the US Environmental Protection Agency, 3M and Ecolab. He specializes in advising green businesses on strategic planning, regulatory compliance, agency and third-party negotiations, beyond compliance initiatives, environmental sustainability reporting, auditing, and improving agency relations.
Brian is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Environmental Law at the University of Minnesota Law School, since 1997, and a Board Member of the Minnesota Environmental Initiative. Brian formerly served on the Minnesota Clean Water Council and as chair of the State Bar Association’s Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law Section. Brian is an active member of The World Future Society, and has presented in the US, Australia and Israel.
He holds a J.D. degree from De Paul University Law School, and an M.A. degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois.
